Jakarta (Antara) - Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) will hold a plenary session on January 19 to discuss the sole candidate for the post of the national police chief. "We have decided on several subjects to be discussed at the plenary session of House Commission III. One of them concerns the candidate for the post of the national police chief," Chief of House Commission III Aziz Syamsuddin said here on Monday. He added that certainty about the plenary session would depend on a meeting of the House Consultative Board to be held on Tuesday (January 13). House Commission III asked each faction in the DPR to form small teams of their representatives, which will decide the mechanism to be followed to hold a fit and proper test for the national police chief candidate, Syamsuddin stated. "We want all factions to form small teams to frame the mechanism and questions to be asked, although the leadership and secretariat of the DPR have already prepared them," he explained. (*)
