Jakarta (Antara) - Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo has ordered the ministry's inspector general to summon Rector Suhajar Diantoro of the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) for allegedly accepting a bribe. "I have received reports of various cases involving the IPDN rector. Please ask the rector to come here next Saturday or next Monday," the minister said while leading a meeting of Echelon I and II officials here on Thursday. Kumolo added that he had received a report alleging that the rector had received a bribe from the parent of a student wishing to enroll in the IPDN. The minister also asked the inspector general to make an official note of the report of the parent to ensure that such cases are dealt with seriously. "We must also ask for a statement from the student's parent. If an allegation concerning an official is made, evidence must first be gathered before the report is filed," the home affairs minister explained. (*)
