Jakarta (Antara) - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has asked all local governments in Indonesia to carry on with their duties and not worry about the current political situation.
He made this statement in light of the escalating tensions among members of the House of Representatives (DPR).
"I told governors and heads of regional police forces that there is no problem. This (political situation) is part of the dynamic and usual processes of the DPR. Governing bodies need not worry about it as it will be resolved soon," Jokowi said at the State Palace here on Tuesday.
The president added that the order he delivered to the heads of regional governments was reiterated to guests from Indonesia's partner countries.
"Every time foreign guests or investors visit Indonesia, they mention that they worry about our political condition. I tell them, as well, that there is no problem," he stated. (*)
