Incheon, S Korea, Sept 23 (Antara) - The Indonesian team 1 won pool G of the beach volleyball event in the 2014 Asian Games, beating Kuwait 2-0 in the qualifying round on Tuesday. Kuwaiti duo Dashti Abdulaziz/Yaqubaamy bin Eid could not continue the second match due to injuries when they met the Indonesian pair, Ade Chandra Rachmawan/Koko Prasetyo Darkuncoro. In the first match, the Indonesian team beat Kuwait duo 21-9. "It was not too difficult for us to beat them. They could not continue the match as one of the players sustained injury," he said. "We still have 16 big matches. We need to stay alert in the quarterfinals where we are likely to meet the Qatari team which looks quite strong," he said. Asked about the Qatari team, he said he said he has come to know of its good performance. The Qatari team has a naturalized player from Brazil. "They have more experience, but we will make every effort to beat them," he said. The Indonesian men's beach volleyball team 1 played against Kuwait after beating Thailand 2-0 in the qualifying round of Group B in the 2014 Asian Games the day before.
