TVRI's Generator Set Building Catches Fire in West Kalimantan

Pontianak, W Kalimantan (Antara) - One building of generator set (genset) belonging to the transmission station of TVRI television station in Sanggau, West Kalimantan, caught fire, causing hundreds of millions of rupiahs in financial losses, a witness said. In addition to burning the genset and an electrical panel, the fire also burned one motorcycle belonging to the TVRI transmitter technician who lives in the complex, according to a witness, M Khusyairi, who was contacted here on Sunday. "The incident had caused the Sanggau residents horrified this morning," Khusyairi said. In an effort to extinguish the fire, the local residents and fire brigade trucks of the Sanggau District jointly put out the fire, he said, adding that on the occasion, an explosion was heard from inside the building.
