Surabaya, E Java (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono began a tour to a number of districts and cities in East Java and Central Java on Tuesday. The President arrived at Juanda International Airport of Surabaya, East Java, after flying for one hour and twenty minutes from Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta. The President was welcomed by East Java Governor Soekarwo and his wife Nina Soekarwo, as well as members of the Coordination Forum of East Java Regional Government. Yudhoyono will be staying in Surabya for two days to observe a demonstration of Navy weapons systems and to give direction to the first session of the Defense Industry Policy Committee (KKIP), speaking as the KKIP chairman. After finishing his working visit in Surabaya, the president will travel to the districts of Lamongan, Tuban and Kudus, before heading to Central Java. In Semarang, Central Java, Yudhoyono is scheduled to lay the cornerstone at a natural gas infrastructure facility. He is also scheduled to visit Yoyakarta. The president is accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Ani Yudhoyono, Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi, Education and Culture Minister Muhammad Nuh, Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Nazarudin Umar.
