Antara Receives Journalistic Award from Foreign Affairs Ministry

Jakarta (Antara) - Antara news agency received the Adam Malik Award from the Foreign Affairs Ministry for Best Online Media category, on Tuesday.
"The award is a recognition for Antara's role as a reliable information provider to the people," stated CEO of Antara news Agency Saiful Hadi, after receiving the award.
Adam Malik Award is given to that media and journalists who, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, have helped disseminating information about Indonesia's foreign policy and activities of officials at the Foreign Affairs Ministry to the people.
There are five categories of the Adam Malik Award namely Best Online Media received by Antara news agency, Best Print Media received by Kompas daily, Best Radio received by Radio republic Indonesia (RRI), Best Television received by SCTV and Best Journalist received by Natalia Santi from Tempo daily.
The winners of the Adam malik Award were announced several minutes before Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa gave his yearly speech for foreign diplomats and journalists, today.
"The media has helped disseminating information about Foreign Affairs Ministry's activities during the past years. Congratulations to the Adam Malik Award winners. I hope the ministry and people from the media will continue to maintain good cooperation in the future," Marty explained. (*)
