Madiun, East Java (Antara Jatim) - The regional logistics board (Bulog) of Madiun, East Java, has purchased 24,000 tons of its target to buy 68,000 tons of local farmers' rice this year, its chief said. "We will still continue to purchase farmers' rice in line with the harvest time in this province," Madiun Bulog Chief Taufan Akib said here on Sunday. He said he was confident that Bulog would be able to meet its target of purchasing farmers' rice in 2013. Taufan said Bulog in Madiun was able to buy 67,000 tons equivalent rice, more than its target of 58,000 tons equivalent rice last year. "We are convinced the target this year would be achieved," he said. (*)
