Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said Indonesia’s fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stocks for the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) period are above the national minimum standard.
“I am grateful to have received a direct briefing from Pertamina’s board of directors and the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) that Indonesia’s national fuel stocks are currently above the minimum standard,” said Bahlil in Jakarta on Sunday.
He explained that the minimum standard ranges from seven to eight days, while current reserves average more than 18 days, or around 20 days. With the reserve standard optimized to 21 days, current stock levels range between 18 and 21 days.
“It can be assured that supplies of diesel fuel, RON 90 gasoline (Pertalite), and RON 95 gasoline are all above the national minimum standard. There is therefore no cause for concern, and LPG stocks are also above the national minimum level,” he said.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia praised the strong performance of state energy firm Pertamina, along with other stakeholders in the energy sector, for their maximum efforts to ensure energy availability and reserves during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period.
Bahlil emphasized that the availability of fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is among four key focus areas of the energy sector during the year-end holiday period.
Regarding fuel supplies, he said stocks of RON 90 gasoline (Pertalite) are in line with the national reserve standard at around 19 days. Supplies of RON 92 gasoline (Pertamax) stand at more than 23 days, while RON 95 gasoline (Pertamax Green) reserves exceed 31 days.
Diesel fuel stocks include subsidized CN48 diesel at around 15 days and non-subsidized CN53 diesel above the national minimum standard of 25 days. Meanwhile, aviation fuel (avtur) reserves are estimated at 29 days.
In addition to fuel, Bahlil said LPG availability and reserves remain another key focus to ensure energy security during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
