Jakarta - Publicly traded component maker PT Astra Otoparts Tbk has made its first exports of components to Thailand. Astra Otoparts' division of Workshop for Industrial Equipment (Winteg) launched the exports of three types of engine components of cars and motorcycles to Thai buyer Nittan Valve Co. Ltd. Winteg is also preparing exports of similar components to Nittan Valve's branch in Vietnam, Winteq president Gustav A. Husein said . Gustav said Winteq started producing automotive engines and equipment of palm oil processing plant in 2006. Up to July 2012, Winteg already produced 600 engines and industrial equipment on order from 35 companies including other member companies of the Astra Group. Astra Otorparts is a member of the Astra Group with holding PT Astra International, the country's largest automotive company. Director of PT Astra International Tbk Johnny Darmawan described the first export as a reflection of success of the company in producing technology products. (*)
