Myanmar to Host Next Yaers World Economic Forum in East Asia

Bangkok (ANTARA/Xinhua-0ANA) - Next year's World Economic Forum ( WEF) on East Asia will be hosted in Myanmar, said Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the WEF here Friday.
U Than Htay, Union Minister for Energy of Myanmar, invited the forum to Myanmar, which Klaus Schwab accepted at the end of this year's forum. U Than Htay offered organizers of the forum to choose a city to host the event.
Under the theme "Shaping the Region's Future through Connectivity", this year's forum hosted by Thailand attracts over 630 participants, some 200 more than expected, from 50 countries, including some heads of state or governments.(*)
