Nusa Dua, Bali - The foreign ministers of ASEAN member states are to meet here on Wednesday to discuss matters related to the region's planned integration. According to a press release from the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry received here on Wednesday, the ministers would listen to reports from ASEAN Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan on ASEAN's Permanent Representatives Committee and Coordination Committee for ASEAN Connectivity. Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa is going to lead the meeting. Meanwhile, on the same day, ministers related to ASEAN's political and security cooperation are also scheduled to meet to discuss progress in the implementation of ASEAN's political and security blueprint. The meeting will also discuss efforts to strengthen the relations between related authorities under the coordination of ASEAN's Political-Security Community Council. Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Djoko Suyanto is scheduled to chair the meeting. The 19th ASEAN Summit, the ASEAN+3 Summit, the Sixth East Asian Summit, the ASEAN and India Summit, and related meetings are taking place here from November 13-19, 2011. The ASEAN Summit and the Sixth East Asian Summit will be participated in by leaders of 18 countries consisting of 10 ASEAN member countries and eight dialog partners, namely China, Japan, India, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Russia. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. (*)
