"We received another good news today. Six people have tested negative, thereby bringing the total of those who recovered (from the COVID-19 infection) to 92," East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated at the Grahadi State Building in Surabaya on Thursday night
Those making a complete recovery from COVID-19 constituted 17.9 percent of the overall confirmed coronavirus cases in the province, she remarked.
"We extend our gratitude to all members of the medical team. We all pray that they and their families remain in good health," she noted.
According to data from the East Java Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling, three of the COVID-19 patients, who recently recovered, came from Surabaya City, two from Lamongan District, and one from Ponorogo District.
Of the 92 COVID-19 patients recovering from the infection, 43 reside in Surabaya, eight in Magetan District, seven in Malang City, six in Situbondo District, five in Sidoarjo District, and four each in the districts of Malang and Lamongan.
Two patients were respectively from Kediri District, Kediri City, and Gresik City, while one each was from Blitar District, Blitar City, Banyuwangi District, Jember District, Madiun District, Batu City, Tulungagung District, Ponorogo District, and Lumajang District.
The task force also recorded that death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in the province had reached 46 as of Thursday night, accounting for 8.95 percent of the overall confirmed cases in the province. The figure remained unchanged as compared to the day before.
