Jakarta, (Antara) - The Indonesian Embassy in the United Kingdom in its official Twitter account (@KBRILondon) on Sunday confirmed there was no Indonesian citizen injured during the attacks in London Bridge and Borough Market on late Saturday.
The embassy will continue to oversee the situation and maintain coordination with the local authority, the embassy further stated, suggesting that Indonesian citizens living in London and cities nearby should stay away from the two incident locations as well as Vauxhall area.
"The local police have investigated the attacks and asked people to avoid the incident locations," the Embassy said in its official website (http://indonesianembassy.org.uk).
A hotline number, moreover, has been launched for Indonesian citizens who want to obtain or seek for further details on the attacks.
"People could contact us in +4420 7881221235," the embassy noted.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's Foreign Affairs Ministry has condemned the attacks as well as expressed its condolences to the victims along with their families.
The Indonesian government has reaffirmed its support and solidarity with Britain in its efforts to tackling terrorism.
"Following the attacks, the Indonesian citizens lived in London and other cities in UK should be more vigilant, as well as avoid some places potentially used as locations for attacks," the Ministry stated in its written statement.
Earlier on Saturday, a white van struck pedestrians on London Bridge and continued moving toward Borough Market.
As the van crashed outside the Barrow Boy & Banker pub, three suspects were seen running toward the market and attacking people in restaurants and bars.
Around eight minutes after a first emergency call, the local securities arrived and shot dead three attackers outside the Wheatsheaf pub.
About seven people were killed and 48 severely wounded during the attacks. Among people who were injured are an off-duty Metropolitan police officer and a British Transport policeman.(*)
