Jakarta (Antara) - Bank Indonesia announced on Thursday it decided to maintain its benchmark interest rate (BI rate) at 7.75 percent with lending facility interest rate at 8 percent and deposit facility at 5.75 percent. "The policy is consistent with the efforts to control inflation at around 4 percent plus minus 1 percent in 2015 and to create a healthy current account balance," the central bank spokesman Tirta Segara said after a meeting of the board of governors of the bank.
