Jakarta (Antara) - State telecommunications operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) Tbk, at its general meeting of shareholders on Friday, appointed Alex Janangkih Sinaga as the company's president director for the 2014-2019 term, replacing Arief Yahya. Alex J Sinaga was formerly president director of cell phone operator PT Telkomsel, a subsidiary of PT Telkom. He assumed the post of the Telkomsel president director in May 2012. The general meeting of shareholders also appointed the same eight members of the board of directors who served on the previous board. Also present at the meeting was deputy state enterprises minister for primary and strategic industries Muhammad Zamkhani. The new board of directors was led by Alex J Sinaga as president director, with Indra Utoyo, Abdus Somad Arief, Heri Sunaryadi, Herdy Rosadi Harman, Dian Rachmawan, and Honesti Basyir as directors. "The board of commissioners consists of Chief Commissioner Hendri Saparini as well as Dolfie Othniel Frederic Palit, Imam Arpiyanto Putro, and Hadiyanto as members, while the independent commissioners comprise Parikesit Suprapto, Johnny Swandi Sjam, and Virano Gazi Nasution."
