Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested Fuad Amin Imron, the speaker of the Bangkalan district legislative assembly. Fuad Amin was caught red handed on Monday night receiving bribe money , deputy chairman of KPK Adnan Pandu Praja said here on Tuesday. Fuad Amin, a former regent of the district was arrested with two others suspects, Adnand said adding KPK also confiscated Rp700 million from the suspects. Fuad Amin had been known to was believed to have receive bribe money regularly over gas supply to a company owned by the regional administration (BUMD) since 2007. The money received by Fuad Amin was part of his agreement with his bribers in 2007 when he was still regent of the district, Adnan said. "The proofs are so evident that he could not deny," he said. Adnan dis not say the name of the company involved in the bribery. (*)
