Jakarta (Antara) - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Zulkifli Hasan revealed plans of meeting Prabowo Subianto, the Great Indonesia Movement Party's (Gerindra's) chief patron, on Friday, to deliver an invitation to the presidential inauguration on October 20. "We will meet him at his residence tomorrow," Zulkifli noted here on Thursday. The MPR speaker made the remarks after meeting former president B.J. Habibie in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Thursday, to extend an invitation to attend the presidential inauguration. He said his side will also try to arrange a meeting between Prabowo Subianto and Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who will be installed as Indonesia's seventh president on Monday. Zulkifli emphasized that if the meeting is realized, it will serve as a role model for the future, wherein after a presidential competition, all competitors were expected to reunite and to work hand in hand in developing Indonesia in the subsequent five years. "Pak (Mr) Prabowo is a statesman. I am convinced he will attend the presidential inauguration," the new MPR speaker emphasized. (*)
