Boat Carrying 30 Passengers on Board Missing in Bali Waters

Situbondo, E Java (Antara) - A motor boat with 30 passengers on board reportedly went missing after its engine malfunctioned in the Menjangan Island waters, Bali Island, on Monday afternoon.
"The information is not clear. We have received a report that a boat carrying 30 passengers from Raas Isle had engine problem while heading for Pondok Mimbo, Situbondo," Head of the Situbondo disaster mitigation office Zainul Arifin stated here on Tuesday.
According to another report, the boat was heading to Bali Island rather than Sitibundo.
The 30 people belonged to Raas Isle, Sumenep Sub-district, Madura Island, East Java, and were on their way to attend a wedding party.
"We are coordinating with the search and rescue team and the regional disaster mitigation office to confirm the news," he added.(*)
