Prabowo Commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day Anniversary at Golf Course

Jakarta (Antara) - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Hatta Rajasa held the 69th Indonesia's Independence Anniversary ceremony at the golf course of Nusantara Polo Club in Jagorawi Golf & Country Club, Cibinong, West Java on Sunday morning. The Prabowo-Hatta pair along with several political leaders such as Anis Matta, Hidayat Nur Wahid and Taufik Ridho of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Tantowi Yahya of Golkar Party, and Romahurmuzy, secretary general of the United Development Party (PPP) commemorated the country's independence day near Prabowo's residential area in the West Java province. The volunteers of the Red and White team, who supported the Parabowo-Hatta duo in the July 9 election, also attended the independence day ceremony. The independence anniversary ceremony at the Jagorawi golf course was also enlivened with the performance of marching band. Indonesia proclaimed its independence on August 17, 1945, after being colonized by the Dutch for 3.5 centuries. (*) Reporting by Hanni Sofia
