Kadin not to Aggravate Presidential Candidates' Debates

Jakarta (Antara) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said it does not want to aggravate debates between the Prabowo-Hatta and the Jokowi-JK presidential candidate pairs with regard to their respective economic programs.
"We want to know further about their programs but we do not want to cause sever debates because their respective goals are to the same," Kadin Deputy Chairman for organization and membership affairs, Anidya Bakrie said here on Tuesday.
He said that the two presidential candidate camps had the same goals of advancing Indonesia's economy and improving the welfare of the people.
"Both have their own perspectives but with the same objectives. They differed only in the way they will use," the Kadin deputy chairman said.
Kadin will hold a dialog with the presidential and vice presidential candidates on Friday, June 20, as part of the tradition it has carried out over the past ten years.
The theme of the dialog is "Selecting a Leader" with a sub theme of "Developing Fair, Sustainable and Self-Reliant Economy."
"We will hold a dialog on industries, trade, investment, energy, mineral and coal sectors in one session and food, agriculture, marine and other sectors in the other session," he added.
During the dialog, each of the presidential and vice presidential candidates will separately be given 90 minutes to discuss their programs for the economic sector with business leaders. (*)
