Adira Finance Reports 10.2 Percent Growth in Financing

Surabaya, E Java (Antara) - Publicly traded financing company PT Adira Dinamika Multi Finance reported a 10.2 percent increase year-on-year in its financing in the first five months of the year.
The growth followed an increase in sales of motor vehicles. The company offers credit mainly for the purchases of motor vehicles.
"Car credits grew 9.8 percent in the January-May period," Deputy Director-Head of Retail Car Financing of Adira Finance, Niko Kurniawan, said here on Wednesday.
Credits for the purchases of brand new cars grew 5.5 percent in the period , Niko said, adding credits for the purchases of second hand cars rose 15.5 percent on-year.
He noted that his company recorded a fairly strong growth when the majority of financing companies in the country suffered a setback on a number of factors .
Some of the companies exercised restraint by choosing to wait for the result of the presidential election next month , he said.
"We also adopt a wait and see policy amid the political heat up ahead of the election, but sales of four wheelers continue to grow," he said.
He said sales of four wheelers reached 46,209 units in the first five months of the year , up from 42,094 units in the same period last year.
"The higher growth was also attributable to the performance of our networks all over the country," he said.
He said by May , 2014, the company, with 28,000 employees, had 667 business units in the country.
The company would continue to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the capacity utilization to increase productivity, he added.
"We have continued to optimize the use of information technology and development of human resources . The purpose is to attract consumers," he added. (*)
