Explosive Materials Found Near Church in East Kalimantan

Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (Antara) - A security guard found explosive materials near Injili Nisantara Jemaat Kasih church in Balikpapan city on Sunday at 3 a.m. "I heard noise near the church building and when I checked, there was a man who later ran away once he saw me," Anton, the security guard said. According to Anton, he found two units of dried accumulator, a yellow box and some wires. The suspicious findings were found six meters away from the church building located in one complex with Kalimantan International Christian School (KICS). "The yellow box and the accumulator are connected with the wires and then to the electrical contact at the school," Anton said adding that he immediately plug off the cables and contacted the police. Up till now the local police are still guarding the church for protection especially since the church continues to hold Easter prayer today.
