Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned former finance minister and chairman of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura)'s Advisory Board Fuad Bawazier as a witness in a money-laundering case involving Tubagus Chaery Wardhana (TCW) or Wawan.
"For further questioning, Fuad Bawazier has been summoned as a witness in a money-laundering case involving TCW," KPK spokesman Johan Budi noted here on Friday.
The KPK has so far confiscated 73 cars and a motorcycle belonging to Wawan. The cars include Ferrari California, Lamborghini Aventador, Bentley Flying Spurs, Toyota Pajero, Toyota Vellfire, Hino Dutro Dump, and Hino Molen trucks.
Earlier, actress Catherine Wilson had also been summoned by the KPK for questioning in the same money-laundering case.
Catherine was summoned by the anti-graft agency last February to give explanation regarding a car she had allegedly received from Wawan.
Wawan, the brother of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, has been charged with corruption and money-laundering.
The KPK claimed that Wawan had gifted cars to several film stars and members of the regional legislative assembly.
The KPK had already questioned two other artists, Rebecca Reijman and Jennifer Dunn, in connection with the same case.
Wawan was also charged with bribery in the Lebak district election, mark up in the price of health equipment for a health center in South Tangerang, and corruption in the procurement of health equipment for the Banten province. (*)
