Corruption Suspect Tubagus Charged with Money Laundering

Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has added charges against Ratu Atut Chosiyah, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana (TCW) with money laundering. The younger brother of disgraced Batam Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah and husband of South Tangerang Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany, is already in KPK detention on bribery charge . Atut herself has also been arrested by KPK on charge of corruption. KPK has found enough evidence to charge Tubagus alias Wawan with money laundering, KPK spokesman Johan Budi said here on Monday. KPK earlier charged Wawan with bribery in the Lebak district election in Banten and corruption in the procurement of health equipment for hospital in South Tangernag, Banten. Johan said he had no yet information about Wawan's assets being confiscated, but what was certain is KPK is probing suspicious financial transactions involving the suspect. Ratu Atut Chosiyah is charged with accepting bribe in the project for the procurement of health equipment in Banten and in the Lebak district election and in bribing chief justice of the Constitutional Court.(*)
