Anti-terror Police Shoot at Two Suspected Terrorists

Jakarta (Antara) - The police anti-terror squad Densus 88 have shot at two suspected terrorists in Jakarta's southwestern outskirts of Ciputat. "It is true that we have searched the home of suspected terrorists in Ciputat," spokesman of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Snr. Comr. Rikwanto said here on Tuesday. Four other suspected terrorists ran away during the search at the rented house on Jalan KH Dewantoro Gang H Hasan at Kampung Sawah, Ciputat, South Tangerang municipality, Banten province. Rikwanto said the group was believed to have been involved in a spate of shootings which killed a number of police officers some time ago. By Tuesday night police officers were still guarding the house. (*)
