Blitar, E Java (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale shook the southern part of East Java province on Saturday evening. The quake forced many residents, including those of Pondok Delta housing complex in Blitar district, East Java, to seek safety outdoors, an Antara journalist reports. According to preliminary information, the epicenter of the quake, which struck at 06.10 p.m. local time, was located 81 km southwest of Malang district. There was no immediate report of casualties or property damage. (*)
