President Witnesses Swering-in New Constitutional Court Justices

Jakarta (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono witnessed the swearing-in of three Constitutional Court (MK) justices at the State Palace on Tuesday.
The new justices are former Minister for Law and Human Rights Patrialis Akbar, Akil Muchtar, and Maria Farida Indrati.
The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by Vice President Boediono, First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, several ministers, and Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Irman Gusman.
The government had earlier submitted the names-Patrialis Akbar and Maria Indrati-to the Parliament as nominees for Constitutional Court judges for 2013-2018 period.
Patrialis Akbar, a politician from the People's Mandate Party (PAN), was a member of the cabinet ministers from October 2009 to October 2011.(*)
