KPK Carries Out Another Confication of Fathanah's Properties

Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission's investigators once again confiscated properties suspected to belong to beef import corruption suspect Ahmad Fathanah, the anti-graft commission spokesman said.
"The investigators confiscate the properties which are suspected to be related to money laundering crimes. They confiscated a house on behalf of Sefti, the wife of Ahmad Fathanah, in the Permata Depok housing, Cluster Berlian 2 Blok H2 nomor 15," Johan Budi, the spokesman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said here on Friday.
Fathanah is one of the suspects in a bribery case of a beef import scandal. He is a close associate of Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq, former president of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), who is also a suspect in the case.
Besides a house in the Permata housing complex in Depok, West Java, the investigators have also confiscated a house on behalf of Fathanah in Pesona Khayangan housing complex, Blok BS No. 5, West Java.
Previously, KPK has confiscated several luxury properties believed to be linked to Fathanah such as cars and jewelries from several Fathanah's female mates. On Tuesday, May 7, investigators confiscated a Honda Freed car plate number B 881 LAA, a Hermes bracelet, and a Rolex wrist watch on behalf of Tri Kurnia. The Hermes bangle made in France is worth Rp50 to Rp70 million while the Rolex watch is valued at more than Rp10 million.
Besides luxury items on behalf of Tri Kurnia, the KPK also confiscated other luxury goods and money from several women said to be close to Fathanah.
One of the women is Mustopo University student Maharany Suciyono who was arrested together with Fathanah at Le Meridien Hotal in Jakarta on January 29, 2013. Maharany was said to have received Rp10 million.
Fathanah is also known to have a second wife named Sift Sanustika who is now in advanced pregnancy and lives in an apartment in Depok.
On Friday, May 3, artiest Khadijah Azhari alis Ayu Azhari also returned a cash of Rp20 million and US$1,800 given by Fathanah as a fee for a job which Ayu had failed to do.
On Monday, May 6, the KPK confiscated a white Honda Jazz car, plate number B 15 VTA, and a Chopard wrist watch worth Rp70 million. The goods were given to Vitalia Sesha, a model for a man magazine.
The KPK also confiscated four luxury cars belonging to Fathanah on March 6, 2013, namely, a black Toyota FJ Cruiser with plate number B 1330 SZZ, a white Alphard (plate B53 FTI), a black land Cruiser Prado (B 1739) and a Mercedes Benz. (*)
