Sukabumi - Mt Salak peak will be off limits to the general public until the Transportation Safety National Commission and special team have completed their investigation, Commander of Suryakencana Resort of Bogor Col Putranto said. Information has it that ordinarily the commission (KNKT) and the team will be in the location of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash for about a month, until the commission declared that their job has been completed," Putranto told the press Tuesday. Putranto said Mt Salak peak has been closed because the commission and team are searching for the black box or Flight Data Recorder, for fear that others entered and found the FDR which would be used for other purposes. He also made it clear that any uninterested person wishing to enter Mt Salak needs to obtain a permission from the relevant authorities. "For 24 hours we are securing the entrance to Mt Salak with military and police personnel and others on duty there," he added. Putranto said any other illegal entrances into the Sukhoi crash site like Tenjolaya village, will be tightly guarded by security personnel. (*)
