Jambi Police Seize Over One Ton of Marijuana

Jambi, Sumatra - Jambi police seized over one tons of dried marijuana brought by a truck from Aceh Province when the truck passed by in Trans-Sumatra highway in Muarojambi district early Thursday, a police officer said. The Jambi provincial police chief, Brig.Gen. Anang Iskandar, said here on Thursday that the police encountered the marijuana carriage in a police patrol dubbed "Patroli Multi Sasaran" that took place in the region. Police has detained the truck driver and his helper for further investigation. (*)
