Jakarta (ANTARA) - Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya underscored the need to strengthen the creative economy infrastructure in various regions through collaboration, including with the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
Harsya noted in a statement from the Ministry of Creative Economy received here on Wednesday that collaboration with the ministry is deemed necessary, as it is the one that coordinates development across Indonesia.
To this end, he held a meeting with Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono in Jakarta on Tuesday to intensify collaboration in bolstering creative economy infrastructure in various regions in Indonesia.

The minister will also coordinate with regional governments through the Ministry of Home Affairs to identify regions with outstanding potential and development of creative economy.
Thus, the creative economy is expected to support national and regional economic development.
"The collaboration can be realized in the form of the provision of connectivity or revitalization of creative hubs in those regions," Harsya remarked.
Meanwhile, Minister Yudhoyono underlined that the creative economy sector can drive economic growth in the future. In this regard, several aspects need to be supported by infrastructure, which should be improved for the sector's progress.
"So far, the creative economy has experienced various advances and continues to be developed. Nevertheless, many aspects can be improved," he affirmed.
He also underlined the need to identify regions in Indonesia that should be strengthened in terms of economic potential and job creation for the community.
The minister expressed readiness to be part of the efforts to boost infrastructure to support the creative economy industry in various regions.
