Bojonegoro, E Java - Vice President Boediono is expected to evaluate work on the Jakarta-Surabaya double track railway project next week, a transpiration ministry official said. "The evaluation is to see how far construction work on the double track railway project has progressed and what the obstacles are in the field," Tunjung Inderawan, the ministry's railway affairs director general, said here on Friday. He said work on the project had been completed for 50 percent, while 30 percent of existing land acquisition problems still needed to be solved. "In technical terms, there is no problem with the physical construction. We are currently focusing on the acquisition of land needed for the double track railway line," he said. Tunjung made the statements at the Bojonegoro railway station during an inspection of the railway line. Accompanied by Bambang Irawan, operations director of state railway company PT KAI, he made the inspection by traveling from Sermarang in Central Java to Surabaya, East Java, on a Wijayakusuma train.
