Sorong, West Papua, April 7 (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted the Kaimana District in West Paua Province at 8.26 am Eastern Indonesia Standard Time (WIT) on Friday, Meteorology and Geophysics Agency spokesman Andri W Bidang remarked here on Friday.
He said the epicenter of the earthquake was located between 6.46 degrees Southern Latitude and 132.01 degrees Eastern Longitude at a depth of 123 kilometers.
"The earthquake did not have a potential to trigger a tsunami, but the people should stay alert over a possible aftershock," Bidang said.(*)
