Jakarta, (Antara) - President Joko Widodo said the simultaneous local elections in 2017 would become a test of the level of neutrality and professionalism of Indonesian civil servants.
"Make this event of simultaneous local elections in 2017 a test of your neutrality and professionalism," he said before thousands of civil servants commemorating the 45th anniversary of Indonesian Civil Servant Corps (KORPRI) at the National Monument on Tuesday.
He reminded that KORPRI's obligation is to serve the nation and the country and not for the interest of certain groups or individuals.
Widodo appreciated the corps' theme on civil servants' neutrality and professionalism with the spirit to embrace the local elections in 2017 for its anniversary.
"As the president of Indonesia and KORPRI's national advisor, I give my tribute to this big family, which has carried out its tasks, responsibilities and services to the nation, state and people across the country and around the world," Widodo remarked. (*)
