Habib Alhabsyi Prays for Prabowo's Victory

Jakarta (Antara) - Habib Abdurrhaman Alhabsyi of the Kwiting Islamic Center conveyed on Sunday a prayer for the victory of the Prabowo-Hatta Rajasa presidential candidate pair in the upcoming July 9 presidential elections. Alhabsyi conveyed the prayer when vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa attended Alhabsyi's religious propagation assembly at the Islmic Center in Kwiting Central Jakara on Sunday. The assembly received a religious sermon on welcoming the fasting month of Ramadlan and the meaning of 'fitrah' tithes by Alhabsyi. Hatta said at the end of the assembly that ulama and leaders should unite in developing the state and nation. "I visit not only this but also other places such as in Maumera. I did not visit Pesantren (religious boarding schools). We have to adjust our visit to the condition of the community and there are many invitations. I have meet the invitations," he said. On the occasion, Hatta said that presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto is ready to face the second round of presidential debate Sunday evening. "Prabowo has made preparations for the debate on the country's economy and people's prosperity. We are very ready for that," Hatta said after attending Alhabib Ali Alhabsyi's religious propagation assembly at the Kwiting Islamic Center, Central Jakarta, on Sunday morning. Hatta said he and Prabowo had a special discussion to face the presidential debate which would take place Sunday evening. "I continue to have discussions with Mr Prabowo regarding the materials which will be taken up during the debate," he added. (*)
