PPP Orders Functionaries to Bring Victory to Prabowo-Hatta Pair-Up

Jakarta (Antara) - The United Development Party (PPP) instructed its cadres and all members to ensure victory for the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa presidential and vice presidential duo. "The Central Executive Board of PPP instructs all functionaries, members and its autonomy body to support and bring victory to the Prabowo-Hatta presidential and vice presidential pair-up," PPP Secretary General M Romahurmuziy said here on Monday. He said PPP, based on the statement of its general chairman Suryadharma Ali, fully supported the Probowo-Hatta pair to contest for the presidential and vice presidential posts for the 2014-2019 term of office. The PPP secretary general asked all Indonesian people to elect leaders who were suitable for national needs in the future. He said PPP together with the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Golkar Party control 292 seats (or 52.1 percent) in the House. "It is enough as the majority in the parliament and hopefully the Prabowo-Hatta pair will be elected to lead the nation," he added. (*)
