5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Jolted Aceh

Jakarta (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Sabang, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam Province, on Monday at 07:34 p.m. local time. According to the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the earthquake was located on 4.10 degree of Northern Latitude and 92.28 degree of Eastern Longitude or 385 kilometers southwest of Sabang at a depth of 10 kilometers. However, the earthquake has no tsunami potential. (*)
