140 Foreign Nationals Deported from Bali Last Year

Denpasar, Bali (Antara) - The Bali authorities deported 140 foreign nationals last year for violating immigration rules, Head of the Bali Office of the Law and Human Rights Ministry I Gusti Kompiang Adnyana said.
The figure represented small percentage of foreign nationals visiting Bali, he said on the sidelines of the 64th Immigration Service Day here on Sunday.
He said a total of 3,193,445 foreign nationals visited Bali last year, with 3,055,572 of them returning home to their countries from the resort island.
"The foreign nationals were those arriving in and leaving for Bali," he said.
He further said as part of efforts to improve immigration services, the office had introduced one-stop services (OSS), auto gate services, and e-passport services.
"We hope the OSS will help us provide passport services more quickly so it will give added value to the public. This way the image of immigration institution will improve," he said. (*)
