Jakarta (Antara) - Chief Political, Legal and Security Minister Djoko Suyanto received a report from East Java's chief intelligence officer on the explosion that killed two people in the province on Sunday morning. "Based on the report from East Java's Intelligence Chief Brig Gen Andi Zainuddin Asikin the explosion was a firecracker's blast," Djoko said here on Sunday. The explosion which took place in East Java's Bondowoso District at 7 am on Sunday killed two people, namely Chief Sergeant Agus Suryadi, a member of the Curahdami subdistrict military command of District Military 0822 and his neighbor Tara (13 years), an elementary school student. The explosion which also severely injured Agus's wife caused damage to a number of houses. In the scene, police found a number of firecracker-making materials such as potassium, sulfur, and bronc. Police also secured evidence in the form of two bags of firecrackers which were ready for sale. Djoko Susanto said Bondowoso police officers were still investigating the incident. He expressed concern over the fact that dangerous materials were stored at a human settlement. (*)
