KPK Bans Three Senior Officials of SKK Migas

Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the immigration office to prevent three senior officials of the Upstream Oil and Gas Special Working Unit (SKK Migas) following the arrest of the head of the agency Rudi Rubiandini on Tuesday night on graft charge.
The request to ban Iwan Ratman, Popi Ahmad Nafis, and Agoes Sapto Rahardjo each holding the position as division chief at SKK Migas is in connection with investigation of alleged corruption in the upstream oil and gas sector, KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Thursday evening.
KPK also asked the immigration office to prevent President Director of PT Parna Raya Group, Artha Meris Simbolon, from traveling abroad, Johan Budi said.
"They are banned from going abroad as they might be needed any time for their testimonies ," he said.
He said a KPK team of investigators had completed raiding a number of office rooms at SKK Migas building.
Rudi Rubiandini was caught red handed receiving bribe money at his official house on Tuesday night.
After being grilled by KPK on Wednesday, Rudi told reporters, "I did not commit corruption, but look like I am charged with graft."
He and Devi Ardi, an official of a private companies were named suspects on charge of receiving bribe money and Simon Tanjaya , an official of Kernel Oil Pte Ltd, a US oil trading company, was named a suspect as the briber.
The three nabbed by KPK on the same night on Tuesday are held in KPK detention houses. (*)
