Beijing, China, (Antara) - Two Indonesian students, respectively Velika Hillary and Cinderella Natali, enlivened Shanghai Fashion Week 2018 along with some 17 students of Raffles Design Institute.
Inspired by the mixed cultures and tribes, Natali carrying the theme of "Hybridity" in the fashion show which was held in Beijing.
Meanwhile, Hillary was inspired by the book of "The Missionary Position: Mother Theresa in Theory and Practice" with the theme of "The Silent Cross" to showcase her design in the fashion show.
"We really appreciate the designs of these two Indonesian students," Director of Raffles Academy of Shanghai, Derrick Cheah said here on Tuesday.
According to Director of Student of Raffles Design Institute of Shanghai Stefan Orschel Read, Hillary and Natali's works have succeeded in beating other students' works that could be featured in the Shanghai Fashion Week 2018.
Indonesian Consul General to Shanghai Siti Nugraha Mauludiah was proud of the participation of two Indonesian students at one of the most prestigious annual fashion exhibitions in China.
"Hillary and Natali also bring the name of Indonesia in the international fashion exhibition," she said in the company of Indonesian Young Consul of Culture and Social Culture to Shanghai, Radityo Panjaitan.
She hopes that the two Indonesian students can continue to improve their skills and to be known in the global of creative fashion design field.(*)
