Palangka Raya, C Kalimantan (Antara) - Former rector of Palangka Raya University (Unpar) has been named as a suspect in the graft case related to the management and use of funds to set up a medical school from 2010 to 2013. "Not only the former Unpar rector but also other people have been named as suspects," spokesman of the Central Kalimantan provincial public prosecutor's office Ponco Santoso said here on Wednesday. The amount of money abused in the graft case was still unknown, he said. The office believed that many people had been involved in the case and thus, it intensified its investigation into the case, he said. A team of investigators had questioned tens of employees of the oldest university in the province, he said. "There are other suspects. For the time being, we just name the former Unpar rector as a suspect. Investigators are working hard to investigate thoroughly the embezzlement of funds to set up a medical school at the university. Be patient," he said. The case came to the light after a team of officers from the Palangka Raya public prosecutor's office was suspicious of a graft case at the university.
