Cilacap, C Java (Antara) -- The Indonesian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the body of 23-year-old female worker Sumarti Ningsih, who was recently murdered in Hong Kong, would arrive in Jakarta on Tuesday, the victim's father, Achmad Kaliman, said.
"A foreign ministry official informed me that Sumarti's body will arrive in Jakarta on Tuesday at 1.30 p.m. It will then be brought to our house in Gandrungmangu in Cilacap district, Central Java," he stated here on Monday.
Ningsih's body will be buried in a cemetery near the mourning house on Wednesday, Kaliman affirmed.
The victim was the third of four children in her family. She was born in Bungo Tebo, Jambi province, on April 22, 1991.
Ningsih, who was a mother of one child, and another Indonesian woman, Jesse Lorena alias Seneng Mujiasih, were slain by British investment banker Rurik Jutting in Hong Kong early in November.
Her mutilated body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Jutting's balcony in his 31st floor apartment in Wan Chai district, Hong Kong, on November 1. Mujiasih's body was found in the living room.
The murder case is being probed by Hong Kong's law enforcement officials.
To support the investigation, the Disaster Victim Identification team of the Indonesian National Police worked with the territory's related authorities to gather ante-mortem data on the victims. (*)
