Beijing (Antara) - President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, is slated to observe China's Tianjin seaport and power plant on Sunday afternoon. The President will make the observation of the facilities amid his activities attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Beijing. "In essence, (the President) will observe the integrity between the power plant and the seaport," Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto said here on Sunday. He said that the facilities were in line with President Jokowi's development priorities, namely maritime, marine 'toll road', infrastructure, railways, food and energy. Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi said the President in his trip to Tianjin will use a fast train with a distance coverage of about 30 minutes. Tianjin is one of the four cities with a provincial level apart from Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing. With a population of 14,1 million based on data in 2012, Tianjin has main industries, among others, petrochemical, textile, automobile and iron industries. Tianjin seaport is the largest one in China's northern region and constitutes the important maritime gate to Beijing. With a width of 121 sq km, Tianjin port is the largest man-made-port in Beijing.(*)
