Jakarta (Antara) - National Police Chief General Sutarman stated here on Friday that the police have made the requisite preparations to ensure security in case the government decides to hike the price of subsidized fuel oils. The decision certainly presents both pros and cons for the community, and it is the task of the police to secure the situation in case of any eventuality resulting from the decision, he pointed out. He noted that the police would adopt necessary anticipatory measures to foresee any likely rejection by the public. "We will conduct early detection to find out the possible impacts of the policy. We will use the results of the detection to plan anticipatory measures to handle the on-field situation," he noted. (*)
