Jakarta (Antara) - Indonesian military (TNI) chief Gen. Moeldoko has assured security situation will be conducive when the General Election Commission (KPU) announces the official result of the presidential election on July 22. "Everything has been prepared well. The public should not be worried and frightened. Tomorrow (the announcement) will run peacefully and undesired thing will not happen," Moeldoko said following a meeting with 10 governors grouped in the Association of Provincial Governments in Indonesia (APPSI) at his office on Merdeka Barat Street here on Monday. Moeldoko said the TNI had prepared 35 thousand soldiers to assist the police in securing the announcement of the official result of the presidential poll. However, only 23 thousand of them would actively be assigned to secure it. "The rest will be on standby. They can be fielded anytime if needed. The TNI chief also has reserve troops of division II from army, naval and air forces and reserve troops from Kostrad (the Army's Strategic Command), Kopassus (the Army's elite troops) and Paskhas (the Air Force's special troops). They will be mobilized in case of a request from the national police chief," he said. The TNI chief played down an allegation that there would be chaos. "There are two dimensions, the cyber and real worlds. War only happens in the cyber world but not in the real world. It is hard to control the cyber world," he said. (*) Reported by Syaiful Hakim
