Jakarta (Antara) - The Prabowo-Hatta camp still believes that its candidate pair will finally emerge as the winner of the July 9 presidential election. "We are still convinced that the Prabowo-Hatta ticket will win the election, and Indonesia will soon have a new president, Prabowo Subianto," the spokesperson of the camp's success team, Marwah Daud Ibrahim, said here on Tuesday. She made the statement ahead of the official announcement of the result of the election by the General Elections Commission (KPU) on July 22. Marwah Daud Ibrahim said based on 99.97 percent of votes sampled at the camp's National Tabulation Center, the Prabowo-Hatta ticket had won 53.52 percent of the votes against 46.48 percent collected by their rival Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla. "What we need to do now is safeguard the votes, so that they will not be stolen, and convince people that their trust in the Prabowo-Hatta pair has been implemented. In view of that, all elements must safeguard the mandate until the official announcement by KPU," she said. Marwah Daud said the national tabulation of vote tallies by the success team of the Prabowo-Hatta camp had been done based on valid data collected by volunteers. "Our data are C1 forms, and so we are not merely making a claim or speculating," she said. Marwah who is also a central executive board member of the Indonesia Moslim Intellectual Association (ICMI) meanwhile had mentioned fraudulent cases in Jakarta, West Java, East Java, and South Kalimantan. "Unless we are not fooled, the victory percentage for the Prabowo-Hatta pair could be higher," she said. (*)
