Jakarta (Antara) - Presidential candidate Joko Widodo's (Jokowi's) electability still exceeds that of his competitor, Prabowo Subianto, with a 3.6 percent difference, noted a survey conducted by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) here on Monday. According to the survey conducted on July 2-5, Jokowi and his running mate earned 47.8 percent votes, while Prabowo and his vice presidential candidate, Hatta Rajasa, earned 44.2 percent. However, LSI's researcher, Fitri Hari, noted that the latest survey result was not a true reflection of the official result of the presidential election as there were 8 percent undecided or swing voters. "The number of swing voters, which is said to be around 20-30 percent of the eligible voters in Indonesia, can play a role in deciding who will win the presidential election. The election result can also be affected by political maneuvers employed by presidential candidates or their campaign teams during the silent week before July 9," Fitri added. Indonesia will be organizing a free and democratic presidential election on July 9, 2014, which will be contested by only two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates: Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa and Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla (JK).
