Jakarta (Antara)- The public works ministry has expected to have 500 Green Community Fora in 500 cities across Indonesia to create green cities in the country. The Green Community Fora (FKH) would help establish sustainable cities environmentally, economically and socia-culturally, Bayu Wardhana, a consultant to the public works ministry's urban directorate, said here on Sunday, on the sidelines of a Green Community Forum training program on Green City Development. The public works ministry has developed the Green City Program since 2012. There are now 107 Green Community Fora. A city is called a green city if it meets eight criteria, which include green open space, green waste, green building, green water, green transportation, green energy, and green design. The Green Community Forum training program was held for three days starting Friday (May 9). (*)
